Arrived and Safe

For those few of you that do not text, we have indeed arrived with no incidents and in good time. Now we question what to do about this blog from here on out...
Well Deacon's casa internet is not working due to roofers messing up his dish azimuth and well i sit at a Nice and Easy typing this. when internet gets back up we (and i mean he) will be putting up all the other pics and a few more vidz we shot along the way. So be patient as i settle in and he gets hid interneting worked out and then we will confront the inevitable question...
What's next?

A quick note on MN roads...they suck...and the towns are all downhill from the interstate...weird...

Ohio is blah...except for all the cool stuff apparently
Ok so when we hit the hotel, a Ramada, I did not even get out my tech for the free wireless. I just watched a n edited for TV Goonies (why do you need to edit Goonies?) and went to bed. I guess it was my subconscious thinking that this was just a rest stop and nothing more. Its just the feeling I got I suppose. Anyway...I woke up and apparently there are some things to do here...weird gravity houses, some caverns, a ghost town, and possibly some willing local girls...but hey we'll be hitting the road soon to find out if Ohio lives up to its hype or if it should remain a blip on MFRT like some other states...yes you Indiana...

The looking glass
Our trip is coming to a close. Today we stopped in Houston, MN to pa
y my (Patrick) respects to my father who passed away on July 25th. I
stopped in to visit with Tom his roomate, had some laughs and shed
some tears. Tom had some letters and pictures for me too. I feel
things in life happen for a reason. We have control for the most part,
the rest is set to cruise control.
RIP Tim.

The Baddest of Lands

The badlands are living up to their name so far...they may or may not have killed my phone. i will not know for sure until i get beyond this roaming network area. if it is dead i will be finding the nearest sprint dealer so i can get the replacement model...sigh...technology only rocks when it works...unlike natural beauty. it just is. we could learn a lot from that...

Life on the road is...

Long and dusty and like a slow painful massage that never gives the stress relief it should, but you know it is good for you so you keep asking for more, please. Day 6 is stating like that...mid-massage. it is hot already. and bright. and looking to be a great day, despite the days down and days to go. so basically it is like any old road trip, you hit your wall point and then you get annoyed, and then you settle in and start enjoying yourself again. kinda like life i suppose...

The cool factor
Today is mileage day with some sites tossed in. We stopped and saw some cool old west cabins in Cody, Wy then hit the road. 52 miles later a site that was not on the list...airline grave yard, we did not get to see those planes but we got a really cool tour of some other old planes that date back to WWII. We got to touch and climb inside a few. That was very cool to touch a piece of history instead of standing behind a rope and being told how cool it is. Fun was had! Pics coming when I get a chance!
